It is with great appreciation and humility that I begin in this position as Executive Director for Shalom House. Having had the pleasure of meeting the members of the Board, the staff and members of the community who share the passion for the mission, it is truly a privilege to be counted with and among these individuals committed to helping women and children who find themselves with nowhere else to go, but deserving their chance for positive turnaround in their lives.

Through my long history of involvement in the non-profit community, I have come to know that anyone can find themselves in a position of challenge or desperation, unexpected bad news or circumstances, or just needing someone to remind them of their worth — and that they are someone in whom people do still believe and desire to see succeed - past all of the mistakes, past all of the challenges, and towards the hope of positive possibilities for their lives.

To all who have already clearly given their time and talents to the mission, thank you! We ask you to continue to be involved, and look forward to working with others as well who share our dream to turn homelessness into hopefulness …
