Come join us at the Krevsky Production Center for Shalom House's Annual Theater Event on Saturday, February 7.

This year's show is I Do! I Do!: Set solely in a bedroom dominated by a large four-poster bed, this charming musical spans fifty years, from 1895 to 1945, as it focuses on the ups and downs experienced by Agnes and Michael Snow throughout their marriage. You will laugh, cry, and laugh again through the good, the bad, and the ugly of marital life.

Reception and Silent Auction: 6:00 to 7:45 p.m.

5th Annual Wreaths for a Reason - November 18, 19 and 20 (click for more)

Crafters from the mid-state have been working hard to make holiday wreaths in preparation for the fifth annual Shalom House �Wreaths for a Reason.� The event will feature homemade holiday wreaths, prominently displayed at Strawberry Square through the generous support of Harristown Development Corporation. Visitors place in a silent auction or purchase their wreath at a �buy-it-now� price.

The 2014 auction and sale will be held on November 18, 19 and 20 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. For more information, click on the link below to the event press release.

With gratitude for efforts from the Shalom House Board, the Jr. League of Harrisburg, the Harrisburg-Hersey Club of Zonta International, the Central PA Food Bank and Heart of Harrisburg Church, we were able to serve nearly 200 persons in the Allison Hill Community at an Ethnic Food Festival on September 21, 2014, including women and children in shelter.

Come walk with Shalom House in the 2014 Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community Harrisburg on Saturday, May 17 at the Harrisburg Area Community College.

Onsite Registration and Check-In begin at 7:45 a.m.

The 5K walk will start at 9:00 a.m.

The 1 Mile Fun Walk will start at 9:15 a.m.

Participants can look forward to:

�A beautiful day! The walk will be held rain or shine.

�A walkway accessible for strollers and wheelchairs.

�Food, beverages, music, activities, and prize drawings immediately following the conclusion of the walk.

�A chance to win one of our great prizes valued at over $1000 collectively. For every $50 that you donate or raise in support of a participating organization, you will receive one raffle ticket. �Receiving a Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community t-shirt if you donate or raise $25 or more for a participating organization (while supplies last).

Shalom House joined members of Zonta in celebrating Zonta Rose Day/International Women�s Day on March 8. Members of the Zonta Club of Harrisburg-Hershey donated teddy bears from Good Bears of the World to Shalom House shelter in Harrisburg. Thank you Zonta for your continued support of Shalom House!

The lightening-fast farce that follows is filled with unpredictable plot twists and a cast of colorful characters including the tenor�s jealous, histrionic wife, an opera starlet determined to sleep her way to the Met, a charming aspiring American tenor and his starstruck girlfriend and a highly resourceful bellhop.
